The Catnip Life Newsletter
There are way too many cat things to talk about to post on just Medium, so I’m branching out!
The first additional platform that is underway is a weekly newsletter to cover some of those additional topics as well as product recommendations.
I do a LOT of product testing in this household of 14 felines. I want to share those outcomes so you don’t have to figure it all out from scratch and make the same mistakes I’ve made or choose products that seemed like a good idea but turned out otherwise.
Each of my cats has their likes and dislikes. Each one varies in their emotional and physical needs as well. From all that “field research” comes a wealth of information I will share in the hopes that others can benefit from some of it.
There are also the 20-plus years I’ve been active in cat rescue, trap/neuter/return programs, and lost pet recovery. That experience led to learning a lot of tips and tricks that the average cat owner may not run across. Things to avoid and things that need to be done. Even some of the vet clinics I use aren’t aware of some of the things you can learn when working with a wide spectrum of community cat groups and shelters.

This is an email newsletter at this point. A free Substack one will be considered in the future so it can be more of a community where we can discuss the various topics that come up.

There will also be a Medium publication of the same name to be unveiled shortly. Once I get it rolling, I will open it to other writers as well for how-to articles and other types of cat posts that aren’t a good fit for the Catness publication.
